About Brandi

A TV and movie junkie, I could not have a better job! When I'm not eating nachos, catching up on useless celebrity gossip, or weighing the importance of actually going to class, I’m glued to my TV set! But if you want to get to know me more, check out some of my Networks, TV shows, and more that are bound to become your favorites as well!

Favorite Networks:

Food Network (on demand):  The day I upgraded from basic to digital cable changed my life. It also changed my future husband’s life. The food network, which has a zillion cooking shows that are actually far from boring, is on demand! Whenever I need to wow someone with my cooking abilities, I come here first so I can be taught how!

Bravo:  Yes, the rumors are true. Bravo and I are officially dating. Bravo has repeatedly come out with addicting shows! Top chef, Flipping out, Project Runway! The majority of my favorite shows and new obsessions come from this channel. Thank goodness for DVR!!

E!  Entertainment Television: As mentioned before, catching up on useless celebrity gossip is on my daily to-do list. Well, how do you think I manage this task? If you said E! TV, you are correct. Not only does E! keep me updated with new celebrity scandals, pregnancies, and break-ups, it has more to offer than wonderful celebrity gossip, including shows about how the mafia was started, murder mysteries, and other juicy secret-revealing shows!

HBO: If you are one of the...oh, I don’t know... 3 people in the world who has not added HBO, what exactly are you waiting on?? If the movies aren’t good enough, nearly every HBO original series is spectacular, like The Sopranos, Entourage, and Curb your Enthusiasm. You can’t afford to miss these. And just in case you do, there are tons of shows featured on HBO on demand that you can watch whenever you want!

Favorite Shows:

Top Chef: A cooking show and a reality show all rolled up into one! This show can be found on Bravo, channel 65 in the HTC channel line-up. Each week the chefs get a challenge and each are judged on how well they performed each challenge. If they didn’t meet the expectations of the judges, they will be sent home! Just a warning though: Don’t watch this show hungry!!

National Geographic’s Amazing Planet: I’m simply obsessed with earth. I know that sounds silly, but most people, like myself, are not able to simply pick up and travel the world, but now, because of our great technology, we are able to see the most amazing parts of the world from the comfort of our home. My favorite out of this series gets up close with the oceans of the world, showing us just how magnificent our planet is! If you don’t have HTC’s high definition package, this show is reason enough to get it.

E!’s The Soup: If you’ve watched my show on Channel 4, you know by now I have a slightly odd, but highly endearing sense of humor. The Soup, on Channel 50 of HTC’s cable line-up, is nothing short of hilarious! The premise of the show is taking clips of that days TV shows. But not just any ol’ clip. Somehow they find the most hilarious things that have aired on TV that day and make them into an ever more funny montage. Do NOT miss this one!

Law and Order: Criminal Intent: I have seen a good majority of the episodes of each Law and Order Season that comes out, and by far, Law and Order: Criminal Intent has been my favorite. You can find this show on NBC and can usually find some of the older ones being replayed there as well. This show ALWAYS keeps me guessing. This show literally can appeal to anyone regardless of age, gender, or political party.

The Chelsea Lately Show: Once again E! has put out another one of my soon to be all-time favorite shows. If you don’t already know who Chelsea Handler is, let me fill you in. You may know her from the Oxygen Series Girls Behaving Badly, stand-up comedy for multiple shows on Comedy Central, guest appearances on the Bernie Mac show as well as The Practice. In my opinion, and apparently millions of others, Chelsea Handler is sort of a big deal. Her comedy is said to appeal to men, and I’m thinking that is partly due to the fact she is a knock-out, and because I still find her funny and I am not male. The show is filled with witty commentary on celebs and pop culture and her off beat sense of humor will be sure to have you locked.

Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern: Being that I do not eat most foods that people would consider “normal,” I honestly can’t tell you why this show has quickly moved to the top of my DVR record list. Found on the Travel Channel, it is educational, humorous, and has intense shock value. Don’t believe me? You watch someone eat a live snake and tell me how shocking it is!
